Throwback Thursday Video #4

Another one of my FAVORiTE old school songs from one of my favorite old school hip-hop groups. Comprised of Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, & Ali Shaheed Muhammad, the eclectic, alternative hip-hop group named A Tribe Called Quest was an instant hit in the late 80s & early 90s. They released five albums in ten years, the first three of which were very highly acclaimed, and disbanded in 1998.

"Bonita Applebum" was the first single off of their debut album, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, which was RiAA-certified gold. The beat is hot. The concept is cool. It's just a great song. Peep the vid.
