In case yall haven't really been UP-TO-DATE on the NBA this past week, there are a few updates after the trade deadline.
MAJOR POINTS
1. Cavs get former all-Star Antawn Jamison & add Sebastian Telfair for bench depth. Good move for the Cavs. Definitely strengthens their chances (even though I think they got the Championship this year).
2. Knicks lose a great & passionate player in Nate Robinson to Boston, BUT get shooter Eddie House, comeback T-Mac, AND clear up enough salary cap space to be able to potentially sign TWO of this summer's stacked free agent class, including LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare' Stoudemire, etc.
3. Rockets add another high scorer in Kevin Martin to the team. Definite boost to the team. When Yao comes back, this team WILL do damage.
4. Mavs add Caron Butler to a team already loaded with weapons. Great addition to the team for the second half of the season. Look for them to go at least to the second round of the playoffs.
That's my take on the major points of the trade deadline. I'm happy for my Cavs & my Knicks. But peep the vids below for the "real" analysts take on it.
