If yall didn't know, the Casio G-Shock has made a great resurgence in recent years; being worn by many famous icons in music, sports, & fashion. I remember when I was a kid, G-Shocks were nothing special & costed like $20/$30. Now, they cost upwards of $65 & some people even go icing out their G-Shocks. Crazy ishh yoo.
Soo last nite, Casio held an event in NYC at Cipriani on 55 Wall Street. The "Shock the World Tour 2009" event showcased the latest in Casio G-Shock's timepieces, technology advancement, & limited edition and collaborative pieces. The event was hosted by Kanye West & also served as a preview of his upcoming fall tour with Lady Gaga. Many big names were there, including Fabolous, Bun B, Estelle, model Eva Marcelle, Terrence J & Rocsi from 106&Park, R. Les, Russell Simmons, & many more. Here's just a few pics from the event. I'm definitely gonna try & cop tickets for that tour tho.
